These questions, excerpted from From Here to There by Lawrence Stuenkel, are similar to what you can expect during a real job interview.

Skills and experience
	How did you decide on this type of work? Can you work under pressure, deadlines, etc.? What are your biggest strengths? Weaknesses? What business, character and credit references can you give us? How do you rate yourself professionally? As an executive? Why did you leave your last position? What features of your previous job have you disliked? Are you creative? Are you analytical? Give an example. Have you helped increase sales? Reduced costs? How? Can you provide a list of your references?
Goals and objectives
	What do you expect from the company that hires you? What are two things you wish to avoid in your next job? What do you look for in a job? What kind of salary are you worth? Why didn't you do better in high school? College? How long would you stay with us? If you could start again, what would you do differently? What new goals or objectives have you established recently? How have you changed the nature of your job? What position do you expect to have in five years? How would you define the essence of success? Will you be out to take your boss' job? Do you feel you might be a better fit with a different size company? What is important to you about your job? Why?
Management styles
	What kind of manager was your former boss? What is your philosophy or style of management? Would you object to working for a woman? How would you evaluate your present firm? Are you a good manager? Are you a leader? Give an example Have you fired or hired people before? What do you look for? Why do you feel you have top management potential?
Differentiators
	Tell us about yourself. What can you do for us that someone else cannot? What are your biggest accomplishments in your current job? Your career? How long would it take you to contribute to our firm? Why should we hire you? How is your health? Do you generally speak to people before they speak to you? What was the last book you read? Movie you saw? Sporting event you attended? Why do you want to work for us? If you had your choice of jobs and companies, where would you go? What other types of jobs are you considering? What companies? What are some things you wish to avoid in the next job? What did you do to prepare yourself for this interview? What kind of working environment do you prefer? How often were you late or absent in your last job? Are there any reasons why you cannot arrive on time and stay at work all day on a regular basis? If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? What did your last performance evaluation say about you? Are you overqualified for the position?
