These questions
are similar to what you can expect during a real interview. Being
prepared will enable you to think on your feet.
The suggested replies, excerpted from From Here to There
by Larry Stuenkel, aren't intended to give you one correct answer.
Rather, the answers should reflect your personal frame of reference,
based on your motives, goals, work skills and aspirations. The replies
are meant to stimulate your thinking, not to be memorized.
Q. How is your health?
State that your health is excellent. Hiring managers are not doctors
and it is not their role to interpret the status of your physical
condition. If, in the interview process, the health question is
probed further and you have had a health problem, offer to take
a company physical and let a doctor evaluate your health. Do not
offer information about your health that could possibly be damaging
to your career. Everyone has some type of physical problem and if
you overplay physical problems you could face significant obstacles
in your job search.
