These questions
are similar to what you can expect during a real interview. Being
prepared will enable you to think on your feet.
The suggested replies, excerpted from From Here to There
by Larry Stuenkel, aren't intended to give you one correct answer.
Rather, the answers should reflect your personal frame of reference,
based on your motives, goals, work skills and aspirations. The replies
are meant to stimulate your thinking, not to be memorized.
Q. How often were you late or absent in your last job?
It is difficult and virtually impossible for a company to verify
this information because most companies only verify the start date,
the completion date and salary with written request from previous
employers. An employee's attendance is not normally a verifiable
item. If you were not late or absent in your last job you may indicate,
"I have not had a problem with being late or absent."
