These questions
are similar to what you can expect during a real interview. Being
prepared will enable you to think on your feet.
The suggested replies, excerpted from From Here to There
by Larry Stuenkel, aren't intended to give you one correct answer.
Rather, the answers should reflect your personal frame of reference,
based on your motives, goals, work skills and aspirations. The replies
are meant to stimulate your thinking, not to be memorized.
Q. Why do you feel you have top management potential?
"Do you feel you have top management potential, or do you think
you have top supervisor potential, or do you think you have top
employee potential?"
The answer is, "Yes," and give examples from your resume to show
why you have this potential. Nothing demonstrates top management
potential better than concrete, quantitative results of how you
have either, a) increased revenue, b) decreased operating expenses
or both. Stand up and say you are a bottom-line oriented individual.
Business is not a spectator sport.
