These questions
are similar to what you can expect during a real interview. Being
prepared will enable you to think on your feet.
The suggested replies, excerpted from From Here to There
by Larry Stuenkel, aren't intended to give you one correct answer.
Rather, the answers should reflect your personal frame of reference,
based on your motives, goals, work skills and aspirations. The replies
are meant to stimulate your thinking, not to be memorized.
Q: How would you evaluate your present firm?
This may feel like a good time to vent any hostility you have about
your firm. But an interview situation is not a suitable forum for
this because you will leave a negative impression. Get off the situation
of the company and get onto your accomplishments.
For example, the answer could be, "The company was a great company
because they allowed me to…" and list two or three of your significant
accomplishments and responsibilities. These examples should fit
the secret recipe question.
