Excerpted from From
Here to There by Larry Stuenkel
These questions
are similar to what you can expect during a real interview. Being
prepared will enable you to think on your feet.
The suggested replies, excerpted from From Here to There
by Larry Stuenkel, aren't intended to give you one correct answer.
Rather, the answers should reflect your personal frame of reference,
based on your motives, goals, work skills and aspirations. The replies
are meant to stimulate your thinking, not to be memorized.
Q: Can you provide a list of your references?
Answer "yes," and then provide a list of references. Don't give
more than three references; providing only two references would
be the safest. The fewer you provide the better, because references
are uncontrollable situations even though an individual will offer
positive information about you. References sometimes talk too much
and they bring up points about you, your career or your past that
were not discussed in the interview — giving the interviewer a chance
to delve into areas that are not necessarily pertinent to your campaign.
